$5,000 Duct-Tape Prom Dress Contest Finalists - VOTE for Your Favorite! [PHOTOS]
Top ten couples have been chosen, with the final results being tallied up on July 11
A cute contest by the cleverly-named duct tape brand Duck Tape had high school students everywhere vying for the chance to win $5,000 for themselves and an additional $5k more for their school.
Just how creative did these kids get with their designs? CRAZY creative!
The contest encourages prom-bound couples to use the tape to construct their outfits. Brooke Wallace, one of the finalists, told The Salina Journal that it took her about 200 hours and 42 rolls of duct tape to make the outfits for her and her date.
Why would these young adults partake in such a time-consuming endeavor? Duck Tape is dangling the ultimate figurative carrot for the best dressed couple: A $5,000 scholarship for both students, and an additional $5,000 to the schools that they choose to pursue their post-secondary studies at.
