Daily Beast examined 24 developed countries that had extensive data available for four categories: Calories consumed per day, TV viewing time, aversion to playing sports, and Internet usage.

1. United States - Surprised? Likely not. The U.S. is number one in calories consumed per day and television viewing, and picks up 3rd out of 24 in both sports aversion and internet usage.
2 Canada - Canadians nab the gold in internet usage, but come in 8th for calories, 5th for TV viewing, and 12th for sports aversion.
3 Belgium - The calories and sports aversion do the Belgians in, as they land 2nd for calorie consumption and 5th for sports, 9th for TV viewing and 13th for internet usage.
4 Turkey - The lack of sports here ups their place in the top 10, with Turkey landing the top spot for sports aversion. They also rank 4th for internet usage, 8th for TV viewing and 15th in daily calorie intake.
5 Great Britain - Like Turkey, Great Britain's residents aren't into playing sports, ranking 2nd in sports aversion. They're 5th for internet usage, 13th for television viewing and 11th for daily calories.
6 Poland - Surprisingly, TV viewing puts Polish folks near the top of the list, ranking 3rd for the category. They're 7th for sports aversion and 14th in daily calories consumed. There's no data for their internet usage.
7 Mexico - Television is where it's at, with Mexico ranking 2nd in TV viewing. They rank 4th for sports aversion, with internet usage ranked at 12th and calories at 17th.

8 France - The French's rich cuisine may be responsible for their number 6 ranking in calories consumed, with internet usage ranked 7th, TV viewing 11th and sports aversion 13th.
9 Germany - Calories consumed land Germany in the top 10 (they rank 9th out of 24), plus TV viewing is ranked 12th, sports aversion is 10th and internet usage is 14th.
10 Portugal - The Portuguese rank 7th for calories per day, 10th for TV viewing and 18th for internet usage. Sports aversion data is unknown.
