50 Cent: The Money and the Power airs tonight at 10pm on MTV.

If anyone in the music business knows about survival, it's 50 Cent. After being shot nine times in 2000, the rapper rose to gangsta superstardom with his hardcore image. This time, however, the G-Unit boss has a whole new challenge.

In MTV's latest reality series, 50 Cent: The Money and the Power, 50 plays Godfather to a budding group of paper-chasers. Through a series of wacky, absurd missions, the young artists and entrepreneurs fight for 50’s favor. In the end, only one will earn his blessing, and a cool $100,000.

We were lucky enough to preview the premiere episode, and all we can say is hold on to your grills! 50 Cent does his best Donald Trump, running the show like a stern drill instructor with his jaw wired shut. If you like watching Apprentice rejects willing to sacrifice anything for money, you'll dig it.
