Kylie Minogue Gets Freaky With A Teddy Bear

With nearly 1 billion people in its clutches, Facebook is a massive collection of human words, ideas and images. But some of those images cause quite the stir. From breastfeeding photos to snapshots of pop stars fondling stuffed animals, here's a collection of images banned by Facebook.

Despite what it looks like, Kylie Minogue is NOT giving this teddy bear a helping hand. That's a microphone she's holding. Still, the powers that be at Facebook said it violated the site's content policy and promptly banned it.

Grayson James Walker was on this Earth for a mere 8 hours before he died of a rare birth defect. His parents, already aware he was not going to live long, arranged to have his picture taken and posted it to Facebook. The moving image was soon shared by hundreds of other people.

But Facebook said it violated their decency guidelines and began deleting them. After an uproar, the site soon backpedaled and apologized for removing the images.

This image of a detailed set of instructions on how to give yourself a "safe" chemically-induced abortion was removed by Facebook late last year (prompting anger from Pro-Choice advocates) and then reposted (prompting anger from Pro-Life advocates).

This photograph of two men kissing from artist Juan Hidalgo for an LGBT documentary was banned from Facebook after the site said it violated its decency code, prohibiting images of a "political, sexual or other sensitive nature."

Following protests, the site says it is currently investigating the incident.

Joanne Jackson beat breast cancer, and she wanted to shout it out loud. But when she posted an image of her scar on Facebook, the social networking beheamoth declared it to be offensive and removed them.

But Jackson is remaining defiant and proud.

"There is nothing pornographic or explicit about these pictures," she said. "These pictures weren't as much about me as about other women who had maybe just been diagnosed with breast cancer. The images aren’t fluffy, they are real and I am very proud of them."
