New Survey Finds Most Women Won't Go in Public Without Makeup

A new British survey reveals that 91% of British women would never go on a night out without makeup.

The survey also found that 33 percent said they wouldn't leave the house without makeup, while 44 percent said they wouldn't allow photos of their makeup-less face to be tweeted.

64 percent answered that they wouldn't go to work without makeup.

After Brit's This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby tweeted a pic of herself without makeup, people weighed in whether or not they would do the same.

It sounds like most British women (who responded to the survey, anyway) take pride in appearances so much they wouldn't consider going out makeup free.

Louise Reed, Head of Marketing at Escentual.com, who conducted the survey, noted, "The majority of our female customers said they would ‘feel naked' without their make-up in a work setting or on a night out."

She added, "And there's also a significantly large number of women who would not be happy being seen au naturel on the weekend, and even more wouldn't allow pictures of themselves without make-up to go on social media."
