Adam Lambert Canceled Again: Jimmy Kimmel, New Year's Rockin' Eve
Not even OK for late night?
We feel kind of bad for Adam Lambert! Poor guy just can't catch a break after his performance on the American Music Awards. First he was axed from Good Morning America and now his Jimmy Kimmel Show and the New Year's Rockin' Eve performances have been canceled, too!
We know Adam Lambert's performance was kind of scandalous; we get it. But is he really too scandalous for Jimmy Kimmel? Is everyone really that worried he's going to do something totally crazy? We don't understand why his performance has been canceled from Jimmy's show, but allegedly it's the "FCC heat."
Adam posted on his Twitter account, "Yes, sadly friends, ABC has cancelled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. :( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat." It seems that the FCC has charged ABC a financial penalty for "airing such an outrageously lewd and filthy performance during a show and time period that is targeted for family audiences." Goodness! But still, Jimmy Kimmel's show is on long after that time period.
Though we think Adam Lambert would be the perfect performer for a New Year's Eve Party, he's been axed from Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, as well. This is a bit more understandable since so many kids watch television late on New Year's Eve, but they're acting like Adam is an animal who can't be controlled.
Adam's still hopeful though and says, "I AM doing Leno though. And lookin into something for NYE... It'll all blow over. Let's focus on being positive!" Good for him! We think it will all work out in time; we just hope it's sooner than later.
