Adele Proud to Represent Real, Curvy Women
Adele Talks Weight, Throat Surgery and More in People
Adele graces the cover of People magazine this week, talking about the details of her "health crisis" that included throat surgery and a hiatus from singing and touring.
Adele also touches on her weight, noting that she never aspired to be model thin, but would rather represent curvy women.
Adele will have her first public performance since her November surgery at the Grammys on February 12. Look for her to pick up a bunch of awards, too -- she's nominated in six categories.

Karl Lagerfeld, creative director for Chanel, recently slammed Adele for being "a little too fat."
He shared, "I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer [Lana Del Rey] is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Lana Del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants."
Gah. This guys sounds like a total douche.
Adele addresses the weight talk in People, noting, "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that."

Lagerfeld is a ridiculous crusty old dinosaur, anyway. I'm not sure Adele would even care that much that he insulted her weight, do you?
