Alicia Keys Explains Queen Latifah's Appeal

She's "Witty and Fantastic"

We've got all sorts of love for Queen Latifah, and it sounds like Alicia Keys does, too. Since Alicia, um, knows her and we don't, we thought we'd share what Alicia had to say about her friend. Where's our amazing spokeswoman-slash-bff? Arg!

Hmm, shall we count the ways in which Queen Latifah is awesome?

1. She's gorgeous, not in a stereotypical Hollywood way, and also happens to be a unique beauty. Alicia says that "I think that her beauty is not only physical, but it radiates from inside of her."

2. Yep, she's funny, too. Alicia commented: "It's the way that she makes the room laugh. It's the way that she's witty and fantastic, it's the way she owns herself and her individuality. It's the way that she has grown in an amazing way."

3. Yes, Alicia kept on going--Queen Latifah is also a great singer and "owns" her surroundings. Alicia also reflected "I'm a huge fan of her music and to see her grow as an actor and a presence and a being, I have to stay her style is very individual and impeccable. She owns her whole situation."

Okay, who do we have to pay to find pals like this? I'd pretty much keel over if my friend said that I was hot, smart, individual, talented, funny, and unique all in one go--and to the media at that. Queen Latifah's doing something right!
