Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Marry in Corsica
Dr. Deepak Chopra presided.
Singers Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are in this for the long haul. The couple married this weekend at a private home on the Mediterranean Sea.
Keys, 29, said "I Do" while draped in a Vera Wang gown inspired by Grecian togas, while hubby Beatz wore a bow-tied Tom Ford suit. The bride held a bouquet of flower lillies during the ceremony.
Guests at the lavish wedding on the French island of Corsica included U2 singer Bono and Keys's good friend, singer and actress Queen Latifah. Physician and public speaker Deepak Chopra presided over the ceremony.
Beatz, 31, and Keys announced their engagement back in May, and the couple are also currently expecting a child together. Beatz already has three children from previous relationships..
Of course, as singers, the newlyweds share more than just marriage -- they connect musically.
"Me and AK, we just love music," Beatz told MTV News last month. "When we in the studio, we work on a lot of things that ain't planned. We was just in the studio vibing on some stuff for her album, vibing on some stuff for my album. We might use it, we might not use it. Anytime we in the studio, it's just musical genius, minds connecting on another level, which is always cool."
This was definitely the weekend for celebrity weddings, as former Presidential daughter Chelsea Clinton tied the knot with her beau Marc Mezvinsky, and rapper TI took the plunge with R&B singer Tameka "Tiny" Cottle.
