All My Sons Is Not All That Good
Katie Holmes may be out of a job soon.
Poor Katie Holmes. Despite all her hard work, and many rehearsals (thanks to the paparazzi we’ve become painfully aware of her every trip to the theater), her Broadway debut is shaping up to be anything but a success.
Celebrities taking the stage is usually a ticket boost, but Katie doesn’t seem to be affecting sales. Even Clay Aiken drew fans when he appeared in Spamalot!
So what gives? The blogosphere theory is that people associate Katie too closely with her Joey Potter character from Dawson’s Creek. Our theory: She's a style icon and tabloid favorite, but Katie has never been regarded as a skilled actor. She's lovely and isn't bad on screen. That's about where it begins and ends.
Does this mean the run of the show could be shortened? Katie could be back to being a full-time mom in no time. Something Tom certainly wouldn’t mind.
