Fielder-Civil was found in bed, choking, by the mother of his 15-month-old son, reports ContactMusic.com. The woman, Sarah Aspin, has been with her child's father at the hospital since he was admitted, with several of his major organs failing.
Aspin, 34, told a British newspaper, "The doctors don't know the prognosis and put him in a coma to help him. I'm praying he'll survive, but I'm having to prepare myself that he may never wake up.

"They let me in to hold his hand after 45 minutes. I found out later that they did that because they thought he was going to die."
Aspin said Fielder-Civil, 30, came staggering home from a friend's house slurring his words, and then she found him in bed the next morning choking on his own vomit.
Doctors reportedly cannot yet tell the full extent of Fielder-Civil's condition, but say he had swallowed his tongue and that his left lung isn't working, and he could suffer permanent brain damage.

Former video production assistant Fielder-Civil was married to Winehouse -- who died of alcohol poisoning in July 2011 -- from 2007 to 2009.
He said in a 2008 interview with the now-defunct News of the World newspaper in England that he was the one responsible for introducing the pop star to crack and heroin.
