Andie MacDowell in New Patricia Cornwell Thrillers
Andie is still dandy.
It's been awhile since eternally-fresh-faced beauty Andie MacDowell was in the news, so we're glad to welcome her back with open arms. The Four Weddings and a Funeral star recently dipped her paws in cement, and will star in a pair of thrillers from author Patricia Cornwell.
On Tuesday, MacDowell, 51, and her L'Oreal girlfriends Eva Longoria and Kate del Castillo attended a bash for the cosmetic company. On its 100th anniversary, L'Oreal was honored during The Friends of the Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood, and MacDowell, Longoria and del Castillo put their handprints into wet cement.
While there, MacDowell talked about her upcoming films on the Lifetime Network, At Risk and The Front, both adapted from novels by crime-writer Patricia Cornwell.
"I play a real bitch," she said. "I was a narcissistic sex addict and had to sleep with young men."
Needless to say, the actress had to step out of her comfort zone. The script even called for her to get naked, a performance that forced her to step even further.
"It was embarrassing," she confessed, "because I’m pretty shy and yet I had to look at myself in the mirror and take my clothes off."
