Androgynous Male Model Andrej Pejic Wows Crowd at Bridal Fashion Week in Barcelona
Australian Androgynous Model Andrej Pejic Dazzles Barcelona at Bridal Fashion Week
Don't invite Andrej Pejic to your wedding--unless you want to lose the spotlight. The 20-year-old Australian adrogynous model was the hit of Bridal Fashion Week in Barcelona, donning designer dresses with serious sass, despite his unique gender for the job.
Pejic has modeled push-up bras and miniskirts, but this marked a new level in feminine elegance for the emerging catwalk sensation.
He opened up the show in a white gown with a flowing skirt and platform shoes. He then worked the crowd with a floor-length textured dress, accentuated with a matching cap-sleeve jacket.
The 6'1 Pejic (size 2-4) is fast becoming a star with his blonde hair, blue eyes, and slender frame. Of course the unique appeal of his gender doesn't seem to be hurting his buzz factor either.
"He's just this beautiful thing that everyone wants a piece of," says stylist Ken Anderson, talking to The Daily Mail.
Jean Paul Gaultier recently signed Pejic to be the face of its first men's fragrance since Le Male; quite a journey from flipping burgers at a McDonalds in Australia where he was discovered.
Pejic was born in Bosnia and spent much of his childhood in a Serbian refugee camp..
