Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to Rent Murdoch Estate
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will rent a sprawling country estate in New York owned by Rupert Murdoch, it was reported. The Rosehearty estate is located on Centre Island, and has been put back on the market for $12.
8 million by Murdoch and his wife Wendi Deng. Pitt and Jolie are lined up to rent the property for more than $100,000 per month in summer while their own property Sassafras, the 40-acre estate they own in Lloyd Harbor, undergoes renovations. While the move was first reported in April, it was confirmed this month. Rosehearty is a traditional Federal-style family home built in 1885 that has 11 bedrooms and sits on a sunny incline. Its lawns roll down into Oyster Bay Harbor. Numerous sightings of the couple were reported around the area earlier this year. But Centre Island Mayor Jack Williams instilled calm into the frenzy. "I haven't seen them and as far as I know none of our police officers have seen them."
