It's another celebrity split, this time between "Harry Potter" star David Thewlis and his wife Anna Friel of "Pushing Daisies" fame. An insider's saying that this is definitely a classic Hollywood story of work that's gotten in the way of romance -- here's the story.

Anna Friel, 34, and David Thewlis, 47, met on a flight to Cannes in 2001, and in 2005 they welcomed their only child, Gracie Ellen Mary Thewlis. It's said Thewlis couldn't wait to be a dad, and during Anna's pregnancy he gave up smoking and began exercising and eating healthier.

Both Anna and David have been incredibly busy at work in the last year, with Anna working on projects in both London and the U.S. while David's been strapped down with "Harry Potter"-related obligations. A source close to the couple says Thewlis and Friel have lived separately for the past six months, and that the distance has done more damage than good: "Things have not been great for a long time and they have tried to keep this quiet to protect everyone ... there are other issues at hand that have made them realize the relationship was over."

According to PopEater, one of those issues may be that Anna was spotted kissing 23-year-old actor Joseph Cross last December. The pair have insisted that they're just friends, and even David Thewlis denies there was any real affair. Thewlis has called Cross his "good friend" and said he has "no problem" with the young actor staying at the couple's house.
