Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Engaged

Anna Paquin, 27, and Stephen Moyer, 39, are turning from True Blood to true love - announcing they are engaged. Representatives for both actors on the HBO vampire series confirmed the engagement but did not provide details.

Paquin plays telepathic Sookie Stackhouse in the ghoulish series. Originally from New Zealand, she shot to prominence when she won a 1994 best supporting actress Oscar for her role in Jane Campion film The Piano. She studied at Columbia University in New York while furthering her acting career. Moyer, from Essex in England, plays Bill Compton. He has two children from previous relationships - a son, Billy, and a daughter, Lilac. Paquin said of her nude love scenes with Moyer: "Obviously, if you're already with that person then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!'"
