Apple Computers Had a Clothing Line (in 1986) [PHOTOS][POLL]
No, It Did Not Include Black Turtlenecks
Check out these retro fashions: Stylelite.com has unearthed some crazy photos from 1986, featuring a clothing line created by Apple … yes, Apple Computers!
1980s-style graphics, headbands and polo-style shirts are the trademarks of the line, which was called, fittingly enough, The Apple Collection.
Even kids were in on the fun, with acid-wash jeans and jean shorts, headbands and sweaters tied around their shirts.
Doesn't the whole lineup remind you of Zack Morris on Saved by the Bell and David Silver on the early years of Beverly Hills 90210?
Our fave: The dudes with the layered polos (collars turned up, natch) and funky shades. So, so, 1980s!
Now, the fashion most frequently associated with Apple is, of course, the black turtleneck with jeans look that was favored by the late Steve Jobs.
But we can actually imagine some of the more hipster doofus-y among us wearing The Apple Collection today if it were available. You hear that, Apple execs?
Check out our slideshow of selections from The Apple Collection, and then tell us:
Would you wear the retro fashions from the Apple Collection?
