Armani is Entering the Chocolate Business
And we're welcoming them!
What are some of our favorite things to come out of Europe? Designer fashion and chocolate, of course. So when two of our favorite things come together, we get especially excited. And now we're learning that designer Armani is coming out with a line of chocolate!
Yes, you heard that right. Armani has signed a licensing agreement with Venchi and will soon be coming out with a line of chocolates, candies, ice creams, and more called Armani/Dolci. Sounds a bit like heaven to us! Allegedly, the recipes used for the treats are authentic 130 year old recipes that stay true to the region's choclate-making traditions. Which we're sure are absolutely fabulous.
According to Giorgio Armani, "This new collaboration with Venchi represents the natural fusion of my desire to offer our clients Armani/Dolci products of the highest quality, already recognised and appreciated throughout the world, with the exceptional skills and traditions of the Italian market leader in the quality chocolate sector." We can't help but wonder if this means we'll be getting chocolates and other treats every time we shop in an Armani store.
Is it possible for a clothing designer to successfully collaborate for a line of candy. The president of Venchi says, "Our intention is to build Armani/Dolci into the benchmark for fine Italian confectionery throughout the world." Of course, we're willing to give them a try!
