Ashlee Stands Up for Jessica
Finally, someone's standing up for Jessica Simpson! Ashlee Simpson recently opened up about Jessica and talked about how unfair and misguided the fat jokes have been this year. Poor Jessica Simpson--let's hope for a happier 2010 for her, sans body commentary.
"It's disgusting that people would say those things," Ashlee Simpson told Women's Health magazine in December 2009.
"My sister has an incredible body," says the younger Simpson. "I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her, because she's one sexy lady."
Jessica's changing weight has been noted in the tabs on multiple occasions, and this fall, an NFL cartoon took things one step further by joking about Jessica Simpson and her size in relation to football players.
The sketch included commentary from Dallas Cowboys starter Marion Barber that "Man, I still can't believe Tony [Romo] dated Jessica Simpson, even AFTER she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!" While there was an apology issued afterwards, it sounds like some sisterly love was needed Jessica supported Ashlee's ousting from Melrose.
