Now she channels Alice Cullen?

Generally, when you look at Twilight's Ashley Greene, you would have no idea she was once a so-called tomboy. But every so often, this glamour girl does dress it down (like in the photo above) and you can see a little glimpse of that tomboy. How do you prefer Ashley Greene?

Sometimes I forget Ashley Greene isn't really Twilight's Alice Cullen. And she might not really be into shopping and clothing as much as Alice is. But it's easy to see she is definitely somewhat of a glamour girl as she's always wearing the latest styles and looking beautiful. But Ashley says growing up with an older brother meant she was quite the tomboy as a child. She tells InStyle Hair, "I was always trying to be like my older brother."

But that didn't last too long, mostly due to the fact that Ashley's friends were older than her. She claims, "I got really self-conscious because I had older friends. I thought they were prettier, and they were going through all these life experiences before I was."

So, what helped Ash find her "femininity?" The Twilight star admits her mom enrolled her in modeling classes and she says they "helped a lot." And now, since Ashley has the honor of getting her hair and makeup done, she's loving it! But she says she's still "really just a 15-minute girl, throwing everything on with no fuss."
