Ashley Tisdale Joining Louis C.K. Sitcom
Louis C.K., 'Seinfeld' Writer Create Sitcom for CBS
UPDATE: 2/22/2012: According to Deadline.com, High School Musical star, Ashley Tisdale, has been tapped to star in Louis C.K.'s new sitcom. "She'll play Petra, "the beautiful and sarcastic assistant to a vintage clothing designer struggling to carve out her niche in New York." Wow. Talk about RANDOM.
Controversial comedian Louis C.K. is a golden boy these days -- his latest accomplishment? CBS has ordered a comedy pilot from him and Seinfeld/The Simpsons scribe Spike Feresten, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The new series doesn't yet have a title, but is described as an ensemble comedy about "young people trying to achieve their creative dreams in these tough financial times."
It's hard to wrap your head around the fact that raunchy Louis, whose FX show Louie, has an ardent cult following (and a deserved M rating), is being considered a viable writer for a CBS show. The eye network is not known for taking risks and typically likes to stay within the confines of "safe."
Details of the project are scarce right now, but you can bet that anything Louis C.K. and Feresten are attached to has to be a 1,000 times better than the likes of new comedies like Whitney and Are You There, Chelsea?

Louis C.K. and Feresten will write and executive produce the new CBS series, which makes Louis one busy boy -- he already writes, directs, produces, edits and stars in FX's Louis.
Count me among the many excited Louis C.K. fans who can't wait to see what he brings to CBS.
Will you watch their new CBS comedy?
