Avoid These Red Carpet Beauty Blunders
It's Smart to Double-Check
Miley Cyrus has done it with red lipstick, Blake Lively has done it with too-pale concealer...try to avoid some of the worst beauty mistakes by learning from the pros! There's nothing worth than getting dressed to impress and leaving the entirely wrong impression on the crowd.
Miley Cyrus famously paraded her lipstick-smeared self on the red carpet just a few years back, and we hope never to be in a similar situation. Here's what we learned from watching way too much awards show footage:
*Check your face-to-neck color. Too much bronzer or powder will leave your face looking mask-like. . . and you just know those pics are going to show up on Facebook under three different people's albums.
*Rub some Vaseline on your two front teeth to avoid lipstick transfer of Miley Cyrus proportions.
*Avoid going out after you masterfully create a new hairstyle until you thoroughly examine your coif from the back. There's always a chance that your look will have stiff gel tracks or strands misplaced if you don't look twice.
*Hide blemishes and other spots the right way. Blend, blend, blend, and if you are trying to hide a cold sore, use a 12-hour lip stain in a pink-brown color, and then a lipstick sealer over that to prevent rub-off. Glossy reflects light and hides that sort of stuff better.
*Disguise a quick eye makeup job with blending--and lots of it. Whisk a clean piece of cotton over your skin to make sure nothing is smudged.
