Avril Lavigne to Guest Judge on American Idol
The Best Damn Thing?
Remember Avril Lavigne? Yes, it does seem like it's been a long while since she's come out with anything memorable. Do you think she'll be a good Paula Abdul substitute on the upcoming season of American Idol?
We'll be honest and say we used to be Avril Lavigne fans. Her music was fun, she was pretty cute, and she could sing. Then she got really angry and stopped being cute. And her last album just wasn't up to snuff. She's married to Sum 41's Deryck Whibley now and we haven't heard many peeps from her in a long time.
Well, now the former pop-punk princess is going to be switching back and fourth with Katy Perry to fill in for the fourth judge during the American Idol auditions in Los Angeles.
We know Avril knows a thing or two about music and the industry, but her personality just seems so blah. Will she be entertaining and personable. Or will she just sit in the judges' seat and mumble?
While we're not sure how she's going to work, we'll definitely be watching; it's been a long time since we've seen Avril Lavigne!
