BET Awards 2012 Winners, Gossip: Is Chris Brown Retiring?
2012 BET Awards Winners List and Rumors
The BET Awards 2012 winners included trophies for Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Perhaps more talked about than the actual awards, however, was all the gossip surrounding the BET Awards.
Check out the 2012 BET Awards winners list below, but first let's get to those rumors.
The biggest buzz of the evening was the question of whether Chris Brown announced his retirement.
Brown was also rumored to have been arrested for weapons possession at the event, with rumors swirling that he wanted to protect himself from Drake.

As you can imagine, there's no truth to either of these Brown rumors. His rep confirmed there was no arrest, telling GossipCop.com, "Nothing of the sort happened."
Also, Brown is not retiring, though he accepted the award for best male R&B artist and said his album Fortune would be his "last," telling the crowd: "I'd like to thank Team Breezy, everybody who worked on any one of my albums. My last album that's coming out in two days ... I just want to thank all my fans. It's dedicated to y'all. This one's for y'all; man, I appreciate everything."
His rep set the record straight -- seems Brown misspoke and meant to say the album is his latest, not his last.
