Baby Soothed by 'Star Wars' Theme Song [VIDEO]
'Star Wars' Theme Soothes Crying Baby
Every parent has that go-to trick for soothing a crying baby.
In this case, it's the Star Wars theme that does the trick.
It's not exactly Brahms' Lullaby, but you use what works.

The proud mom and dad show off their parenting trick in a YouTube video, where their 4-month-old baby boy is crying in his crib -- then immediately calms down when the Star Wars theme plays.
YouTube user SebastianL2012 said of the Star Wars song trick:
"We discovered by accident that the Star Wars Theme Song has magical abilities to calm the baby down. He was screaming and crying in the car one day, and the MP3 player started playing this song and he just stopped. Then, every time after that when he'd be crying for no reason (we knew his diaper was clean, tummy was full, etc.) and we'd play this song, he'd perk right up."
Awesome. Future Star Wars fanboy in the making right there -- you can never start them off too early.
ABC News reports that mom Amy Leyack said baby Sebastian was crying in the car, she turned on the Star Wars theme and he stopped crying, but when she switched to other music "he started crying, so I went back and he stopped."
No big surprise -- Sebastian's dad is a big Star Wars fan and the parents watched the movies and listened to the music when the baby was in utero.

Leyack notes that they've tried other music, but none with the same success rate, as she explains: "Lady Gaga makes him cry more. I've tried other classical works like Beethoven and Mozart and even polka ... and nothing else seems to work."
