Backstreet's Back in New Old Navy Commercial [VIDEO]
90s Boy Band Gets Some Love From Old Navy
Old Navy has been pumping out the retro ads lately, with some of them getting more love than others.
First it was the "90210" cast reunion and now, it's the Backstreet Boys who appear in a new Old Navy commercial?
I'm not saying Backstreet Boys is completely washed up -- they have toured with New Kids on the Block and released a new album, after all.
All I'm saying is, you wouldn't catch ‘N Sync doing this.
In the new ad, showcasing Old Navy's "Rockstar" skinny jeans, thin models walk the runway while the voice describes that skinny jeans at Old Navy are for all body types.
Bam! Different sized ladies appear on the runway to show off the flattering pants.
Then, emerging from a giant boombox for no apparent reason, Backstreet Boys sing Everybody, with some extra flair, I might add.
In fact, Nick Carter looks like he's really working for that paycheck.
Backstreet Boys singer Kevin Richardson told People.com that the ad "was a great way to show people that we're back," adding, "Our song ‘Everybody' that's featured in the commercials says, ‘Everybody rock your body,' which relates to everybody, rock their body in Old Navy skinny jeans."
Howie Dorough added, "It looks great. We think [Old Navy and Backstreet Boys] is a great pairing."
