Bacteria Outbreak at Playboy Mansion Sickens 80
Playboy: "There is no truth in the rumor."
When you go to the Playboy Mansion, you can expect to catch something nasty if you don't play safe. But these bugs are a whole different story. As many as 80 people have reported getting very ill after attending a convention at the nudie mag's shindigs last week.
Dozens of guests who attended the Domainfest conference in Santa Monica, held Feb. 1 to 3, are now saying they contracted a terrible sinckness while visiting the iconic mansion.
The afflicted guests came down with flu-like symptoms including sever headaches, fever and respiratory infections. Four Swedish guests were diagnosed with Legionellosis, also known as pontiac fever. A milder form of Legionnaires Disease, Legionellosis is caused by bacteria that live in warm water.

Many of the guests say they probably contracted the bug from a fog machine.
Still, Domainfest and the LA County Health Dept. have not come to any conclusion in their investigation, saying the Playboy Mansion should be considered innocent until the facts show otherwise.
Said a rep for Hugh Hefner's swanky boob-castle: "There is no truth in the rumor that anyone caught anything at the Playboy Mansion. Nor is there any evidence. None of the Playboy staff became ill, the deejay was in the middle of the fog and she didn't get ill. We have been contacted by the Health Department and the Playboy Mansion is cooperating fully with the investigation."
