Beyonce and Kanye West Nominated for Mobo Awards

Beyonce, Kanye West and Keri Hilson are all up for Mobo awards next month, the nominations reveal. The ceremony will be held in Glasgow, Scotland on September 30, which is the first time that awards have been held out of London in 14 years.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and runners-up JLS are competing again in the Best Newcomer category with British rapper Chipmunk, leading the nominations with four nods. Rapper Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye West, Lady GaGa and Keri Hilson are all up against each other for the coveted Best International Act award. Kanya King, the CEO and Founder of MOBO, said: "The fact that we are holding the awards in Glasgow this year is testament to the fact that MOBO Music is the sound of Britain as a whole. "The reception from Scotland has been great and we cannot wait to put on our show up there."
