Bon Jovi To "Make House Calls"
Bon Jovi announces mega-world tour to kick off in February.
What a great way to greet the weekend. Bon Jovi announced Thursday that they will launch a massive world tour on February 19, covering all the bases (and by "all the bases," we mean just about all the continents).
The legendary rock band, formed in 1983, will visit 135 venues in -- get ready -- 30 countries. Not bad for a bunch of boys from Jersey, right? But there is a hometown highlight they look forward to playing: the Meadowlands, new home to the New York Giants and Jets. The band will hit the stadium on May 26 with possible additional dates, then they'll move on for a summer residency at London's 02 arena.
Bon Jovi has retained four of its five original members since the group's formation. The fellas expect to cash in -- their last world tour brought in an estimated $210 million.
