'One Day at a Time' Co-Star Supports Bonnie Franklin
It always appeared that the One Day at a Time co-stars were a close-knit group in real life.
Now, years after the series ended in 1984, Bonnie Franklin, who played the mom, Ann Romano, is facing a cancer diagnosis -- and she has TV daughter Valerie Bertinelli by her side.
Franklin, 68, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, can count on her television offspring to be in her corner.

According to the National Enquirer, a source tells the mag that Franklin and Bertinelli have remained close over the years, noting, "Valerie has always been there for Bonnie, but never more so than now. She's even cooked hearty Italian dishes for Bonnie and delivered them personally. Bonnie was so grateful!"
