Brad Pitt Likes his Children More than Money
$5 million, or trick-or-treating?
Brad Pitt may not have privacy anymore, but it sure sounds like he has a lot of money. The 45 year-old star of Inglourious Basterds recently skipped out on a paycheck of $5 million just to make a public appearance. He hung out with his kids instead.
Pitt was apparently booked to appear at the Grand Prix Ball Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, which featured performances from Aerosmith and Beyonce, but he apparently never showed.
This was a surprise to his expecting hosts. "We were told he would be attending as the guest of the Tourism Development and Investment Company," said James Magee, a representative for Global Event Management. "But he was a no-show, and nobody seemed to know why."
Pictures later captured Pitt trick-or-treating with Angelina Jolie and the family, a sort of activity Hollywood's top man apparently wants to do more of.
"He's spending more time with the family and doing less of these appearances, even though it’s a huge sum of cash," a source told Life and Style magazine.
