Pitt sits down for an interview in the new HBO film, in which he responds to a question about how to deal with British Petroleum and their response to the oil spill clean-up:
"I was never for the death penalty before. I am willing to look at it again."
But If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise actually takes audiences back to New Orleans to see if the rebirth of the Big Easy is really happening. The four-hour documentary also takes a look at two important events in the city's recent recovery -- the New Orleans Saints amazing 2010 Super Bowl victory, and the catastrophic oil spill in the gulf just this past Spring.

Lee was already filming the documentary when the gulf oil disaster struck, prompting the director to include the events as part of the local people's ongoing struggle to survive.
As for Pitt, the actor has made it a personal mission to help the area's victims. His Make it Right campaign is building 150 affordable homes in the New Orleans area.
Let's just hope he doesn't see too much red before it's over.
