Carolina Herrera's fall 2012 collection is said to be feature high, demure necklines and shifty shapes...no wonder The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn wardrobe masters felt Herrera would be the perfect designer to dress Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan in the movie's (much ballyhooed) wedding scene. Every piece of information surrounding the Breaking Dawn wedding has created a stir, sometimes so much of one that film execs have had to ask us to all chill. Now it's Twilight author Stephenie Meyer who's telling us to stop behaving like wolves. "Please, for those who are posting [photos], stop," Meyers recently implored Internet hounds. "And please, though the temptation is high, don't view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you."

Yeah right. When the trailer was released at the MTV Movie Awards two weeks ago it sent Twilight mania into hyperspeed; plus, now word has emerged on the wedding dress Kristen Stewart wore and the crowd has gone wild. Thursday we learned that famed haute couture designer Carolina Herrera, was the brains behind Bella's gown...and while there's not much scoop about what it looks like, here's what speculation suggesta: Herrera's 2012 bridal collection features long sleeves and wide, flowing shapes that aren't fitted and necklines that are actually to the neck...appropriate for a girl who's had mixed feelings about fangs in the past, huh?

Herrera's also been using loads of luxurious satin, which would do well with Twilight's theme and the fall release of the first Breaking Dawn installment.
What does that mean for us mortals? We may have to wait until Breaking Dawn's November 18 release to see what the dress acutally looks like but it sounds as though the strapless craze we've known for the last decade may be officially passe. Thanks to tastemakers like Princess Catherine and Bella Swan, modest elegance now reigns.
