Bristol Palin Says Abstinence Not Realistic At All
And they will call her, Captain Obvious.
Those Palins sure know how to stay in the spotlight. You betcha. Bristol Palin sat down with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News to talk babies, boyfriends, abstinence, and, oh yeah, her famous mom. What did Bristol have to say about her whirlwind year?
Bristol said her situation - by which we assume she means being unwed, underage, and with baby - isn't one she would recommend to other youngsters. "Everyone should wait 10 years," she told Susteren. "I hope people learn from my story … It's so much easier if you're married, have a house and career. It's not a situation you want to strive for."
Yes, because every young girl dreams of getting knocked up on the national stage while people debate the merits of sex education as they pertain to her particular womb.
Bristol also said her mother's (very adamant) view of abstinence, especially in regard to teenagers, is "not realistic at all." Clearly not, Bristol. Clearly not.
Despite her mother's strong stance on the subject, BP says it was her choice to have baby Tripp. "It was my choice to have the baby. It doesn't matter what my mom's views are on it. It was my decision."
Never one to turn down an on screen appearance, Sarah Palin showed up towards the end of the interview holding Tripp in her arms. Of Bristol's pregnancy she said, "Not the most ideal situation, certainly you make the most of it."
With photo opps and interviews, you mean? Wink wink.
