Britain Releases Info on UFO Sightings
UFOs in the UK
Do you believe in UFOs? You might after you read this. The United Kingdom released previously hush-hush documentation on unexplained sightings around country last week. This follows the December statement that the Ministry won't be looking into any more claims of UFOs in the UK.
The government researched 1,600 events they referred to as "unexplained aerial sightings," resulting in a collection of reports totalling over 6,000 pages. Events include the time when six witness saw something hovering over the then-Home Secretary Michael Howard's home, and called in the government to research the strange craft (and try to help them feel less crazy).
The "humming" object was described as what we'd consider a classic UFO, with lights running around the outside.
One witness told the media at the time that "It all felt really odd, and I heard this humming noise. After a few seconds it shot off, leaving in a flash of light."
Other events reported in the 6,000 pages included a plane's close call with an aircraft covered in lights and approaching them as high speed, while yet another report covered a man's claims that he had a "tube of light" come towards him, resulting in a skin condition.
There is another set of documentation set to be released later on this year... imagine how much fun the UFO enthusiasts are having with this! This certainly can't help the paranoid, but I'm sure it makes for a fun flip-through. Cue the Twilight Zone tunes...
