Britney Spears is set to write a novel, inspired by her own life experiences. Which, if you think about it, makes total sense 'cause she sure does have a lot of material to draw from but, still, can't she leave the book writing to other people who can, I don't know, WRITE?

Though the book deal has yet to be officially confirmed, the Hollywood Reporter notes that she's in discussions to pen the novel.

As a novelist, Spears would join the likes of Snooki and Lauren Conrad, who both wrote fictional accounts based on their real lives.

If you're looking for a straight-up tell-all memoir of Spears' life, this isn't it.

I'm not a Spears hater, by any means -- she's been up, down and all around and is on the comeback trail with her stint on The X Factor, so she's definitely gotten back on track.

I'm more against the celebrity machine of pumping out books, fragrances, clothing lines, accessories, etc.

While I'm sure Spears has an interesting story to tell, her writing skills are likely questionable.

Spears previously worked with a ghost writer to pen a fictional novel with her mom called A Mother's Gift. 

Then again, maybe I should give her a chance.
