Can You Believe Pauly D Made $11 Million Last Year?
Ranks 7th in Forbes List of Top 10 Highest Paid DJs
According to a new Forbes magazine report Paul DelVecchio made $11 million last year - but it wasn't for doing his gym/tan/laundry on MTV's Jersey Shore. Instead, it's the reality star's second career - spinning in clubs as "DJ Pauly D" - that brought in the bucks. In fact, Forbes says he's the seventh highest paid DJ in the world. WAIT, WHAT?!
Does he carry street cred in the DJ world? Compared to others like Tiesto, who ranks number one on the list, Pauly is reportedly considered an "anomaly" who doesn't share the same appreciation for music. But that hardly matters. Clubs are still willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars a night because of the crowds he attracts. Last fall, he played the opening of the Kardashian's new store in NYC, which the police were forced to shut down because of the overwhelming number of people who showed up to see him.
The number easily makes Pauly the richest Jersey Shore cast member and, right now, the one with the most secure future. Numerous outlets have reported the show's upcoming sixth season may be its last. Still, don't feel too sorry for them. Their paychecks for the final season are pretty hefty, with some cast members making up to $2 million!
