Carmen Electra Settles With the Naked Women's Wrestling League
Former Baywatch star Carmen Electra has settled a lawsuit she brought against the Naked Women's Wrestling League and others, whom she claimed owed her money. Carmen, 37, whose real name is Tara Patrick, filed a lawsuit in 2007 for money for hosting duties and the use of her picture on DVDs.
Carmen's attorney, Todd W. Bonder, reportedly said to LA Superior Court Judge Mark V.Mooney during a hearing that the case has been resolved with all defendants except the Erotic Wrestling Productions LLC, which allegedly defaulted. Bonder said: "I am pleased that we could reach a settlement that was acceptable to all parties." The lawsuit claimed various allegations including breach of contract, unjust enrichment and violation of common law as well as statutory right of publicity. Carmen claims bosses at NWWL said they would pay her $400,000 for hosting a series of events but she only received $100,000 and was owed the remaining $300,000. She also claims that her image was featured on a number of DVDs such as Twin Peaks, Operation Naked Storm, Tag Team Dream and Bush vs Hussein that she was not paid for. Her attorney, Bonder, claims the DVD sales were the most important part of the lawsuit.
