"I can share she's not pregnant," Carrie Underwood's rep told the press after stories circulated that the country crooner was expecting.

Do you think a public statement like this will manage to keep the rude questions at bay for a while?

In the past, Carrie's addressed needling journos by saying that she'll have kids someday, and that she thinks she doesn't need to sacrifice as much as some say.

"I know it's possible to be a great mother and to be on the road. You don't have to sacrifice that much," she said in a past interview. "I see people like Martina [McBride] do it, and Faith [Hill] do it. I know it's a possibility. I just maybe need to sit down with them and say, 'How DO you do it?'"

Underwood's talked about how domestic she is, which I suspect doesn't help those circling the pregnancy rumors. She says she loves being down-to-earth, she'll hang out at home and clean, and she can spend hours in the grocery store. Omgdomestic = pregnant, almost pregnant, thinking about pregnancy?

For the record, Carrie doesn't send her rep out to deny every pregnancy rumor. In December, when she was asked the same question, she said "Oh gosh, no!" to reporters. GOT IT, EVERYBODY? Not pregnant.
