Carrie Underwood is Big Winner at CMT Awards

And the winners were...

Carrie Underwood has been one of our country music favorites for a long time now- ever since she stole the show on American Idol. But her AI days are long behind her and last night she scooped up 2 awards at the Country Music Television Awards. Find out who else had a fabulous night.

The CMT Awards are one of the biggest nights in country music; and Carrie Underwood left the show with 3 major awards: Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the year. Upon accepting her award for Video of the Year, Carrie said, "Wow! Amazing fans. Awesome, awesome, amazing, awesome, awesome."

But Carrie wasn't the only one who scored big. Keith Urban won the honor of Best Male Video for "'Till Summer Comes Around" and Miranda Lambert got Best Female Video for "White Liar." We especially loved Keith Urban's acceptance speech. After a sweet message to his wife, the beautiful Nicole Kidman, Keith said, "I want to send my deepest love and prayers out to all the families around the gulf, who are going through an insane time right now... We've never seen anything like this - emotions I can't even find words for as I watch this thing happening on TV."

Kid Rock hosted the event and did a pretty great job of entertaining. Tim McGraw, The Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban (with John Mayer!), Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Lady Antebellum all performed at the event.
