It's thought events in the Bipolar patient's life can also contribute to these episodes; and it may not be incredibly shocking that after her husband Michael Douglas has battled cancer this year, Catherine Zeta-Jones has checked into a treatment center to deal with the Bipolar disorder that her rep confirmed in a statement today: "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder. She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films." (It appears Zeta-Jones is preparing to film "Lay the Favorite" with Bruce Willis and Justin Timberlake, and "Playing the Field" with Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel.)
