Celeb-Obsessed Teens Used Internet to Rob Megan Fox
From Our Friends at PopEater
Megan Fox's recent break-in has gotten Hollywood stars all shook up! PopEater's busy exploring the ring of recent burglaries, and how the internet was involved in the drama. Head to the safety deposit box, Hollyweird, because your jewels still might not be safe. If you want someone to thank, I'd start with the internet.
The "Burglar Bunch," cops say, used the internet to find out what celebs had and where they lived, and then selected secluded or poorly-protected homes as their targets. Victims included Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Ashley Tisdale, and Orlando Bloom, and the spree lasted almost a year. Using windows and even a doggy door to gain entry, they didn't just make off with jewels, but with high-end designer clothes.
Los Angeles police officer Brett Goodkin said that "They thought it was fun, kind of an adrenaline rush. They would go in and steal the celebrity's clothes and possessions, things they could never afford on their own."
.
PopEater reported that "With a few clicks on the Internet, police say, the suspects developed a wish list of designer clothes and jewelry, then raided the homes while celebrities were away."
The list of suspects includes a Alexis Neirs, who is currently filming a reality show, and a slew of other teens. For the full run-down of those suspected, and those charged, read up on PopEater!
