Haven't You Always Wanted to See the Chest-Thumping Singer's Bare Chest?

Let us answer that question we just posed: we're guessing it's a big no for even the most devoted Celine Dion fan, that no, in fact, it has never, ever entered your mind to wonder what she would look like topless.

And, no worries, though the superstar singer does indeed pose topless in the new issue of V Magazine, she's got the girls strategically covered with her hands.

"I was scared a little bit because this was so different for me, but I'm glad I did it," Dion told V Magazine. "Usually there's always a reason when I do a photo shoot, there's not the opportunity to go crazy."

Dion's pics appear in the new travel issue of V, with Nicole Kidman's racy photoshoot inside, including a cover shot where Kidman is also topless, with a bit of bared butt, too.

The shoot, by photographer Sebastian Faena, took place at Dion's home in Hobe Sound, Florida, and is her first non-promo photo session in six years.

She told the magazine she had fun with the photos, which gave her the chance to show off her playful side (and, you'll note, a pretty hot bod), after years of sharing the heavier aspects of her life, including husband Rene Angelil's cancer battle and the couple's painful -- but ultimately successful -- experience trying to have children.

Dion, who has sold more than 200 million albums around the world, also talks to the magazine about the thrill of doing her Las Vegas show (which now includes a medley of Adele tunes); how she, like Michael Phelps, is doing what she was born to do; and how being a mom has made her even happier than her mega-successful music career.
 
"I thought I had a life before, but until I was a mom, I had no idea," she says. "Why would I want a hit? Why would I want to win awards? There is nothing I can hope and wish for my career. I can just hope to be blessed as a mother for the rest of my life the way I am now. That's the only nomination I want."
