Celine Dion's Neverending Pregnancy

Over a year, it feels like!

She feels like she's been pregnant forever.

Celine Dion said she feels like she's been pregnant for more than a year. The Canadian singer definitely knows what she's talking about, too, because she had a miscarriage last year. Now she's expecting twins, and she sounds exhausted but overjoyed. Yippee for her!

Celine admitted that it's been a tough journey trying to conceive. She and her husband, Rene-Charles, have tried six times through in-vitro fertilization to have a kid... and she feels pretty exhausted already.

"I feel like I've been pregnant more than a year," the singer admitted, who told Oprah just last year that she had had a miscarriage.

"I never gave up," Dion said. "But I can tell you that it was physically and mentally exhausting. My doctors had to constantly reassure me...Each week I had sonograms. I heard their heart beats."

And now, she'll do whatever doctors tell her in order to keep her babies safe.

"It's stressful but I'm relaxing. I look at my little belly. I do almost nothing. If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there's nothing more important than that. It's incredible," she said.

It's hard for me (child-free) to imagine the stress that Celine feels while carrying her twins. After so many problems conceiving, she must feel like she's walking on eggshells.

Rene-Charles confirmed in an interview that  "these treatments were truly hard on my wife's body. It wasn't simple at all." Celine Dion received extensive IVF treatments as well as acupuncture. We hope that Celine's pregnancy is smooth. After all the trouble and heartbreak, she should have a happy, healthy pregnancy!
