Chace Crawford And Zac Efron Are Friends

Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford has denied rumours of rivalry between him and Zac Efron. Crawford, 23, is set to feature in a remake of 1984 muscial Footloose after the High School Musical star turned down the lead role.

He said: "We're loose acquaintances, we're good friends and everything's cool. He's got to make the decisions that are best for him." Crawford told GMTV the movie is going to be a little different to the original, which starred Kevin Bacon. He said: "It's a great modern adaptation. Pop culture has changed so much since the 80s. I'm not going to have the Kevin Bacon hair and tight jeans!"
