Chace Crawford Signs on for “Footloose”

It has been a much-anticipated movie ever since the idea was mentioned, and now the “Footloose” remake has its main star - Chace Crawford.

The “Gossip Girl” hunk has been confirmed as the lead in the 1980s flick, following months of speculation over who would fill the Zac Efron-sized hole in the cast.

A representative from Paramount Studios told press, “Chace Crawford will play the lead role of Ren McCormack in the film ‘Footloose.’”

Other famous names that have audition for the film are Hayden Panettiere, Amanda Bynes, and Julianne Hough. Kenny Ortega will handle the directing duties.
