Charlie Sheen Formally Charged with Assaulting His Wife
Charlie's not out of the woods yet.
It's amazing how Charlie Sheen has become a household name for the drama-filled, scandal-packed lifestyle that some H'wood stars lead... even after recovery. The actor was arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller, and he has now been formally charged.
Charlie Sheen was formally charged on Monday with the following: felony menacing and two misdemeanors (3rd degree assault and criminal mischief) after the alleged assault.
Journalists were watching Charlie Sheen quite closely when he appeared in court in Colorado. He was wearing his wedding ring, they say, which I think is supposed to mean something, but actually is the most basic thing you can do. That being said, Brooke kept her wedding ring off when she made her appearance in court yesterday.
Charlie Sheen was allowed to see his wife with the provision that he not have any guns. Fair enough... but he also is prohibited from drinking alcohol, which we can imagine will be the more challenging part of the deal.
We hope that we don't hear about Charlie and Brooke any more, in terms of new disturbances and family drama. They hugged each other as they left court yesterday-- a good sign-- and they have another court appointment scheduled for March 15th. Here's to a year of quiet from the Sheen camp, we hope!
