Charlie Sheen Going to Rehab, Calls Lawyer a "Rock Star"
Sheen gets off
It's all about "time served" for Charlie Sheen, who was sentenced to 30 days in rehab yesterday. Since he spent time at Promises rehab center earlier this year, his sentence will be "administered and executed" in a matter of seconds.
Sources told TMZ yesterday that Sheen's getting credit for "time served," which means that he only has to check into rehab on August 23rd, and then leave. In addition, Sheen already did 36 hours of anger management, which was another element of the plea deal.

"The plea bargain is a victory for Yale Galanter, who shockingly represents the alleged victim in the case -- Brooke Mueller. Galanter ended up negotiating the plea with the Pitkin County DA," TMZ reports.
When Sheen left court, he told the press waiting "Yale Galanter is a rock star, what can I tell you?" He added in a more canned statement that "I'm very grateful to the court and to the people of Pitkin County. I look forward to complying with the court's decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me."

It's nice to be rich and famous, isn't it? Charlie's still scooping up cash for his Two and a Half Men television spot (about a million per episode), and his lawyer said that he's headed back to work immediately.
Now all Charlie has to deal with is his ex-wife's payments, but that's almost set in stone. She'll get a portion of the property they shared, about $125,000/month for child support, $300,000 per year on the pre-nup (signed in 2008), and a $500,000 marriage signing bonus. Now all he has to do is avoid getting hitched again...
