Chris Brown Quits Twitter
Rude rant at record sellers was Brown's last tweet.
Chris Brown's singing career may be struggling, but his tweeting career is over. After we heard Monday that Brown had taken to his Twitter account to curse out music stores who'd opted not to sell his new album Graffiti, PopEater reports that he suddenly went dark. Did Chris Brown's management step in to save him from himself? (This is one wild story -- wait till you get to the punchline.)
After Brown had been to a Walmart store in Connecticut and wasn't able to find his CD, he exploded on his Twitter account @mechanicaldummy. Brown tweeted about the "major stores" who had "blackballed" Graffiti. He said stores like Walmart were "blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f--k do i gotta do." Our friends at PopEater explain, "He quickly added, noting that his words would certainly be publicized and used against him: 'yeah i said it and i aint retracting s--t. im not biting my tongue about s else...'" [sic]
Hilariously, Walmart responded with a statement that included the following: "We are surprised at the comments online. All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford, [Conn.], store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available."
Hey Chris Brown, Walmart didn't have your CD because it was sold out. What a novel idea...and now, who wants to buy a CD from an artists who bullies the people who sell his records? This is one of the funniest and stupidest stories I've heard in a long time...unless you count Tiger Woods reportedly considering a move to France.
Breezy's Twitter is dead -- try to hit twitter.com/mechanicaldummy, and all you'll get now is a "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!" Looks like someone in his camp grew some brains...
