Chris Brown: Wedding Dance Couple Gave Me Purpose
Chris Brown almost sent "Forever" newlyweds a present.
"TMZ go in...they should get an award," Chris Brown told a Florida radio station yesterday in a live interview. And he says that's exactly what kept him from buying a gift for the YouTube couple who played his song at their wedding and, as Brown says, "made me think that I had a purpose."
Brown agrees in the interview that the couple who danced to his song "Forever" brought him out of his "darkest days" and "put me back on the map with iTunes." Brown appreciated the couple's including him in their "sacred" day so much that he says, "I honestly wanted to send those guys a wedding gift, I wanted to send them like a whole living room set or something...for them to dance [to my song at their] wedding...that really touched me."
So why didn't he do it? Brown says he didn't want the media to say he was just thanking the couple for the publicity. "I didn't want to send it because I didn't want them to be like, 'Oh Chris is paying off the people.'"
Know what? After the year he's had, we'll give Chris Brown credit for the nice thought. Check out the "Forever" wedding dance video - over 3 million others have seen it.
